I've lived in the greater Eugene area for 21 years. The saddest change that this town has gone through is when the IHOP across from Jiggles turned into that Chinese Buffet about 10 years ago (and RIP Jiggles, as well). Believe it or not, I spent a good deal of my teenage years bumming around that IHOP. Smoking cigs, drinking coffee, having long, drawn out conversations with my friends about the most random of topics. Eating cheese fries. Getting to know the workers. It was kinda like our home away from home. Then they had to go sell it and turn it into Golden Sun Buffet. Sad.
